The modification of fluorescein angiography and its applications in age-related macular degeneration and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy
Ophthalmic Research Jun 14, 2018
Peng Q, et al. - In order to gauge the retinal changes in age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV), authors established a novel retinal angiography method, red-free angiography (RFA). More detailed images for AMD and PCV diagnosis were provided by the absorption coefficients in RFA. Hence, to supplement fluorescein angiography (FFA), RFA is a promising approach. Subretinal fluid, polyps, and outer retinal tubulation, with a higher definition than the FFA and red-free reflectance results were demonstrated by RFA.
