The interaction between apolipoprotein B insertion/deletion polymorphism and macronutrient intake on lipid profile and serum leptin and ghrelin levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients
European Journal of Nutrition Jan 31, 2018
Rafiee M, et al. - Researchers examined whether macronutrient intake could modify the association between apolipoprotein B insertion/deletion (ApoB Ins/Del) and lipid profile, and serum leptin and ghrelin in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. They concluded that in T2DM patients, the interaction between ApoB Ins/Del and dietary intake of monounsaturated fatty acid, saturated fatty acid, n-3polyunsaturated fatty acid, carbohydrate, and protein could modulate the serum levels of triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, leptin, and ghrelin.
