Yoshida T, et al. - This investigation was pursued to elucidate the effect of sustained new-onset atrial fibrillation (AF) on mortality and the incidence of stroke in critically ill non-cardiac surgery patients. Findings revealed an association of sustained new-onset AF with poor outcomes in this patient population.
