The effectiveness of magnetic stimulation for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Neurourology and Urodynamics Sep 20, 2018
Pan H, et al. - In patients with pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD), researchers assessed the usefulness of magnetic stimulation (MS). In order to support the benefits of using MS in the management of PFD, no convinced evidence was noted. Five databases were searched for articles published until November 2017 that investigated the effects of MS on PFD. In the treatment of PFD, the applicability of MS remains uncertain. No convincing evidence was found to support the efficacy of MS, detrusor overactivity, or overactive bladder, and the included RCTs had controversial results. They noted the probability that MS has some benefits for nocturnal enuresis and erectile dysfunction.
