Hung YC, Lin PY, Chiu HE, et al. - Researchers investigated the treatment effectiveness of laser acupuncture (LA) in patients with musculoskeletal pain. They searched major electronic databases, including Medline, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, and Scopus and identified 20 articles comprising 568 patients receiving LA and 534 patients receiving sham treatment for inclusion in the current study. As per findings, LA results in significant reduction in pain, disability, and functional impairment in patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
