Ichou JA, et al. - This study analyzed data from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies assessing the safety as well as efficacy of Impella device in high-risk patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Although limited randomized data was available regarding clinical outcomes associated with the use of Impella device, findings demonstrated that its use afforded improved procedural and hemodynamic parameters.
