Jain R, et al. - Authors aimed to gauge the impact of antibiotics and corticosteroids on bacterial communities in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). An unpredictable short-term response of bacterial communities to antibiotic or corticosteroid therapy was noted. In patients with stable CRS, the use of systemic therapy ought to be rationalized to minimize antibiotic-associated morbidity and bacterial dysbiosis.
