The clinical efficacy of deproteinized bovine bone mineral with 10% collagen in conjunction with localized piezo-surgical decortication enhanced orthodontics: A prospective observational study
Journal of Periodontology Apr 12, 2019
Miyamoto T, et al. - In this prospective, observational, cohort study, total 692 teeth were estimated to study the utility of deproteinized bovine bone mineral with 10% collagen (DBBM-C) in Piezocision for periodontally-accelerated osteogenic orthodontics (PAOO). Overall, they noted significantly faster treatment (5-7 days between clear aligner tray changes). No alveolar bone loss was observed. More inclination towards less root resorption was noticed with Piezocision-treated teeth with DBBM-C, although it was not statistically significant.
