Bipolar Disorders Dec 15, 2017
Dols A, et al. - The clinical course and associated factors of late-life bipolar disorder (LLBD) were analyzed in this study. A higher relapse rate of 37.5% in 3 years was observed considering that LLBD patients generally had a long history of the disease and were receiving care and medication. The course of LLBD could provide important information on which clinical factors were correlated with recurrence. Further phenotyping could reveal unique predictors for the outcome, and both course specifiers and clinical variables ought to be included.
