The association of previous prostate biopsy-related complications and the type of complication with patient compliance with re-biopsy scheme

The Journal of Urology Jun 17, 2018

Schwarzman LS, et al. - Authors assessed if the previous prostate biopsy-related complications and the type of complication were related to repeat prostate biopsy compliance in a clinical trial with study-mandated systematic biopsies. Findings suggested a correlation of a previous biopsy-related complication and the type of complication with lower compliance with re-biopsy schemes in men undergoing repeat prostate biopsy. The ideal candidates to receive interventions regarding the importance of prostate re-biopsy to prevent noncompliance were the patients experiencing biopsy-related complications.
