The association between ocular surface measurements with visual field reliability indices and gaze tracking results in preperimetric glaucoma

British Journal of Ophthalmology Aug 09, 2017

Arai T, et al. – The correlation between gaze tracking (GT) results and ocular surface condition was gauged, in glaucoma. It was determined that superficial punctate keratopathy (SPK) was linked with increased frequency of eye movements (move3–5 and move≥6). A large tear meniscus volume (TMV) correlated with increased rate of tracking failure frequency per stimulus (TFF). Cautious focus to be paid when interpreting GT parameters in patients with SPK or a large TMV.
