The association between green tea consumption and breast cancer risk: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Phytotherapy Research Jun 19, 2018

Najafi MN, et al. - Authors critically assessed the association between green tea (GT) consumption and the risk of breast cancer in this systematic review and meta-analysis. Compared with placebo, the mammographic density could not be altered by treatment with GT; as seen in the only clinical trial. The conclusion that GT consumption could decrease the risk of breast cancer was not drawn. A pooled analysis of case-control and cohort studies was not performed because of the high heterogeneity.
