Khalifeh JM, et al. – Here, the researchers examine the extent and patterns of use of social networks by major regional, national and international trauma, acute, and critical care surgery (TACCS) societies. They conclude that less than 50% of the TACCS societies are currently using social media; those that do are arguably underutilizing its potential. In particular, non–American societies lag behind in their use of social networking.
