Orr LE, et al. - Researchers here aimed to assess the potential for surgical cure in primary hyperparathyroidism with normal non-suppressed parathyroid hormone. They noticed that parathyroidectomy could have a high cure rate in the context of normal PTH levels despite an increased likelihood of negative imaging and multigland resection. When PTH levels were > 55 pg/mL, operative success was equivalent to classic PHPT.
