Stress-induced cardiomyopathy in cancer patients
The American Journal of Cardiology Sep 23, 2017
Giza DE, et al. - This study focused on stress-induced cardiomyopathy (SC) in cancer patients. In addition to its impact on cancer therapy and overall survival, the incidence, natural history and triggers of SC were also investigated in cancer patients. The differential diagnosis for cancer patients presenting with chest pain and having ECG findings characteristic of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) should include SC. According to observations, most of these patients normalize ejection fraction and may early resume cancer therapy.
