Grudzinska FS, et al. - An observational study is done to explore the effect of statin therapy in patients with community-acquired pneumonia. The outcome of this study suggests a potential role of statins in the management of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). Further research utilizing high-dose statins is needed to evaluate their safe use in subjects with mild to moderate infections.
