Quadlbauer S, et al. - This study compared the radiological and clinical outcome of unstable scaphoid B2 type fractures, stabilized using one or two headless compression screws. For unstable B2 type fractures of the scaphoid, using two headless compression screws (HCS) without bone grafting proved a safe option, showed a markedly higher union rate and equal clinical outcome compared to stabilization using only one HCS.
