Specific entrustable professional activities for undergraduate medical internships: A method compatible with the academic curriculum

Hamui-Sutton A, et al. - The objective here was to explain the methodology used in the design of educational tools for evaluating the students´ competencies in clinical practice during their undergraduate internship (UI). The formulation of benchmarks yielded a regular and standardized language. This, in turn, aided in assessing the student’s performance and in defining the educational strategies efficiently and accurately. The university academic program was aligned with Actividades Profesionales Confiables (APROCs) in clinical contexts to provide an assurance of the acquisition of competencies by students.
