Software-guided versus nurse-directed blood glucose control in critically ill patients: The LOGIC-2 multicenter randomized controlled clinical trial

Mesotten D, et al. – This study compared the efficacy of software–guided and nurse–directed blood glucose control in critically ill patients. Findings demonstrated an improvement in quality of blood glucose control with no increase in hypoglycemia consequent to the use of the LOGIC–Insulin blood glucose control algorithm versus blood glucose control by expert nurses in a randomized controlled trial of a mixed critically ill patient population.
