Soft tissue treatment changes with fixed functional appliances and with maxillary premolar extraction in Class II division 1 malocclusion patients

Janson G, et al. – The present study sought to compare the soft tissue changes and post–treatment status after complete fixed functional appliance non–extraction and maxillary premolar extraction treatment in patients with Class II division 1 malocclusion. The findings demonstrated that late pubertal patients with Class II division 1 malocclusion treated with fixed functional appliances correlated with fixed appliances present similar soft tissue results as two–maxillary premolar extraction treatments.
