Six-month outcome scores predicts short-term outcomes after hip arthroscopy
Arthroscopy May 07, 2021
Lin CS, Colasanti CA, Bloom DA, et al. - This study was intended to ascertain if early patient-reported outcome improvements in the 6 months after surgery are predictive of achieving a patient acceptable symptomatic state (PASS) at 2 years. Researchers retrospectively examined a prospectively collected database. A total of 173 patients were enrolled in this study (mean age: 39.8, 61.8% female). It was shown that early improvement in modified Harris Hip Score scores is correlated with 2-year outcomes. As per the findings, individuals who do not achieve MCID within 6 months of surgery have a high rate of not achieving PASS at 2 years.
