Significance of glucocorticoid receptor expression in patients with non-small cell lung cancer treated with pemetrexed-based chemotherapy

Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology Sep 29, 2017

Zhao XM, et al. - This study was undertaken to explore the effect of glucocorticoid receptor (GR) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and its role in predicting pemetrexed efficacy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Findings suggested a role of baseline GRα/GRβ ratio in PBMC in predicting the efficacy of first-line pemetrexed-containing chemotherapy in stage IV non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (non-sq-NSCLC) patients.
