Sexually transmitted agents and their association with leucocytospermia in infertility clinic patients

Akgul A, et al. - Using real-time multiplex PCR detection kit in the urine samples of 50 patients presented to the infertility polyclinic, experts gauged the presence of Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma hominis, Mycoplasma genitalium, Ureaplasma urealyticum and Ureaplasma parvumDNA. In either group, no statistically significant negative effect of agent positivity on semen analysis parameters was revealed by the statistical evaluation using the Mann–Whitney U and chi-square tests. Nonetheless, experts detected no significant difference between the groups. Data about the prevalence of asymptomatic sexually transmitted diseases in patients presenting to the infertility polyclinic was provided in the findings.
