Serum microRNA-based risk prediction for stroke
Stroke Apr 19, 2019
Sonoda T, et al. - Because many studies have revealed that circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) are useful noninvasive biomarkers of different diseases, researchers identified serum miRNAs that predict stroke risk. Participants were diagnosed with cerebrovascular disorder with brain imaging; controls were stroke-free and had undergone a medical checkup. Using microarray analysis, serum miRNA profiling was performed for all members. Seven serum miRNAs were identified that could predict cerebrovascular disorder risk prior to stroke onset.
