Robot-assisted pancreaticoduodenectomy: Safety and feasibility

Robotic Surgery: Research and Reviews Evidence based | Aug 12, 2017

Kauffmann EF, et al. – Authors performed a systematic review on laparoscopic robot–assisted pancreaticoduodenectomy (RAPD). Findings revealed RAPD as safely feasible in selected patients and in specialized centers. They suggested not implementing RAPD in the occasional patient by surgeons without advanced laparoscopic skills and formal training in robotic surgery.
