Risk of stillbirth in singleton gestations following in vitro methods of conception: A systematic review and meta‐analysis
BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Mar 19, 2021
Wong KT, et al. - Researchers aimed at determining the risk of stillbirth in singleton gestations following in vitro methods of conception compared with non‐in vitro conceptions via performing a systematic review and meta‐analysis. A comprehensive search in PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, and Cochrane Library led to identification of 33 cohort studies for inclusion in this study. Overall findings revealed an increased risk of stillbirth in in vitro conceptions vs non‐in vitro conceptions. However, uncertainty remains concerning whether this risk is linked with in vitro techniques or underlying subfertility.
