Risk of epilepsy in surgical patients undergoing general or neuraxial anaesthesia

Chang HC, et al. - This study sheds light on the risks of epilepsy after surgery in patients receiving general or neuraxial anaesthesia. Findings demonstrated that those who received general anaesthesia and had co-existing medical conditions and postoperative complications, were at increased risk of postoperative epilepsy.
