Hong FC, et al. – Researchers aimed to determine the risk of congenital syphilis (CS ) following treatment of maternal syphilis. For prevention of CS, they identified treatment of syphilis–seropositive pregnant women with 1 course of intramuscular benzathine penicillin G (BPG) before 28 gestational weeks as critical.
