Risk factors for stress urinary incontinence recurrence after single-incision sling

Neurourology and Urodynamics Apr 26, 2018

Palmieri S, et al. - Authors identified in a pure stress urinary incontinence (SUI) population risk factors for recurrence after single-incision slings (SIS). For SUI recurrence after SIS implantation, SUI severity expressed with ICIQ-SF scores and low detrusor pressure at maximum flow was determined as independent risk factors while for reduced urethral mobility only a trend was found. Hence, in improving preoperative counseling and tailoring surgical treatment preoperative assessment of symptoms and urodynamics evaluation could play a key role.
