Risk factors for return to work in colorectal cancer survivors
Cancer Medicine May 28, 2021
Yuan CM, Wang CC, Wu WT, et al. - Researchers focused on the factors impacting return to work (RTW) as well as examined how RTW modified survival outcomes of patients with colorectal cancer. They used 2 nationwide databases to obtain data of people (N = 4408) in active employment who were diagnosed with colorectal cancer between 2004 and 2010. They found that negative correlations with RTW were shown by the following factors: older age, treatment with radiotherapy, higher income, medium company size, and advanced pathological stage. Findings revealed no significant link between employment and all‐cause mortality.
