Risk factors for oral methotrexate failure in patients with inflammatory polyarthritis: Results from a UK prospective cohort study

Arthritis Research & Therapy Mar 27, 2018

Bluett J, et al. - Researchers sought to assess the rate and predictors of oral MTX failure (defined as MTX cessation or the addition of another anti-rheumatic drug) in patients with early inflammatory polyarthritis (IP). An increased risk of MTX failure due to inefficacy was noted in the rheumatoid factor (RF)-positive inflammatory polyarthritis patients who were younger with higher baseline disease activity.
