Risk factors for early reoperation after operative treatment of acetabular fractures
Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma Jul 03, 2018
Ding A, et al. - Authors identified the risk factors for early reoperation after operative fixation of acetabular fractures. Experts noted a difference in the risk factors for early reoperation after operative fixation of acetabular fractures based on the reason for return to the operating room. They found a greater likeliness of the occurrence of the infection in patients who had prolonged stays in the intensive care unit, who had prolonged operative times, were embolized or experienced a delay in time to fixation. More likeliness of revision was seen with hip dislocation, articular comminution, femoral head or neck fracture, and advancing age.
