Han B, et al. - In the United States, Heroin-related morbidity and mortality have raised over the past 17 years, including an increase in overdose deaths from 2,089 in 2002 to 15,259 in 2018 and a raise of multiple outbreaks of HIV and hepatitis infections related to injection drug use. Yet the study has not considered whether heroin injection is increasing.
