Tanaka A, et al. - In middle-aged adults, the impact of tooth brushing on the development of metabolic syndrome, including assessment of periodontal status was evaluated in this study. Data revealed notably lower risk of development of metabolic syndrome in subjects brushing teeth ≥3 times/day when compared to those brushing teeth ≤1 time/day.
