Real-world scenario improvements in serum phosphorus levels and pill burden in peritoneal dialysis patients treated with sucroferric oxyhydroxide

Kalantar-Zadeh K, et al. - Adult peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients who were prescribed sucroferric oxyhydroxide (SO) as part of routine care were examined to determine the efficacy of SO on lowering serum phosphorus and phosphate binder (PB) pill burden among these patients. This database analysis revealed improvements in serum phosphorus control and >50% reduction in PB pills/day among PD patients prescribed SO as part of routine care.
