Lustberg MB, et al. - Authors performed randomized placebo-controlled pilot trial of omega 3 fatty acids for prevention of aromatase inhibitor (AI)-induced musculoskeletal pain in breast cancer survivors. When administered with AIs high-dose n - 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids supplementation was feasible and well tolerated. They realized the necessity for additional studies to evaluate efficacy in prevention of joint symptoms.
