Szegedi A, et al. - The efficacy and safety of asenapine in preventing recurrence of any mood episode were determined in adults with bipolar I disorder. Compared to placebo, long-term treatment with asenapine was more effective in preventing recurrence of mood events in adults with bipolar I disorder. Asenapine was generally well-tolerated.
