Palmier NR, et al. – Experts aspired to figure out whether the International Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS) and the Post-Radiation Dental Index (PRDI) were viable methods for the assessment of radiation-related caries (RRC). Results of this study suggested that ICDAS and PRDI could not be considered viable for the assessment of RRC. However, the development of a specific clinical classification system is urgently required to help clinicians recognize the peculiar patterns of RRC, especially in incipient cases.
