Pseudoprogression in pediatric low-grade glioma after irradiation

Journal of Neuro-Oncology Aug 19, 2017

Tsang DS, et al. – The purpose of this retrospective review was to evaluate the incidence and management of pseudoprogression after radiation therapy (RT) in patients with pediatric low–grade glioma (LGG). The present data indicated that pseudoprogression after irradiation was common, particularly in patients with pilocytic astrocytoma, and was related to improved survival. However, knowledge of the incidence and temporal course of pseudoprogression might help avoid unnecessary salvage therapy.
