Ito Y, et al. – The contribution of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) in podocytes to hyperglycemia–induced renal injury was analyzed in this study. Podocyte PTP1B deficiency attenuated hyperglycemia–induced renal damage. Results reported that PTP1B seemed to present a therapeutic target in renal injury.
