Prognostic value of the acute-to-chronic glycemic ratio at admission in acute myocardial infarction: A prospective study

Marenzi G, et al. - This prospective study was performed to examine whether the combined evaluation of acute and chronic glycemic levels could have a better prognostic in acute myocardial infarction (AMI), as compared with the admission glycemia alone value. Compared to glycemia at admission, acute-to- chronic (A/C) glycemic ratio was found to be a better predictor of in-hospital morbidity and mortality in AMI patients with diabetes.
