Prevalence of post-micturition incontinence before and after anterior urethroplasty
The Journal of Urology Apr 17, 2018
Cotter KJ, et al. - Experts determined the prevalence of pre- and post-operative post-micturition incontinence (PMI), or post-void dribbling, following anterior urethroplasty for urethral stricture disease and ascertained the risk factors for its presence. As per the data, pre-operative PMI was high and likely under reported. PMI of most patients improved after urethroplasty and authors noted a low prevalence of de novo PMI. Stricture length, location, or urethroplasty repair type did not predict the presence of PMI.
