Prevalence, incidence and prognosis of chronic kidney disease classified according to current guidelines: A large retrospective cohort study of rheumatoid arthritis patients

Tokoroyama T, et al. - This study represents an attempt to determine the prevalence, incidence and prognosis of chronic kidney disease (CKD), classified according to current guidelines, in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Data reported an over time increase in the CKD incidence in RA patients. Furthermore, in this population, it was observed that prevalent CKD may be an insidious risk factor associated with increased mortality.
