Avila M, et al. - A retrospective chart review is done to determine whether the preoperative use of the vaginal metronidazole decreases the risk of pelvic infections after radical robotic hysterectomy. According to the outcome obtained a single dose of preoperative vaginal metronidazole decreases the risk of pelvic and genitourinary infection after robotic radical hysterectomy.
