Predictive quantitative sonographic features on classification of hot and cold thyroid nodules

European Journal of Radiology Feb 23, 2018

Ardakani AA, et al. - Researchers resolved to evaluate the potential of ultrasound imaging for the classification of hot and cold thyroid nodules on the basis of textural and morphological analysis. Through 2-Dimensional sonography, this computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) method was found to be capable of distinguishing between hot from cold nodules. Hence, data recommended its possible use as a supplementary technique in daily clinical practices with the intention of improving the radiologists’ comprehension of conventional ultrasound imaging for nodules characterization.
