Posterior laxity increases over time after PCL reconstruction
Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy Jul 05, 2018
Gwinner C, et al. - Experts tested the presumption that early postoperative posterior tibial translation (PTT) increases over time. Seemingly, early results after posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction were promising as posterior tibial translation is significantly improved. Nonetheless, PTT increased significantly from early postoperative values to the final follow-up of at least 5 years. In patients with flattening of the tibial slope (TS), this is particularly notable. Data suggested that initial posterior stability should not be equated with the final outcome.
