Polyclonal hyperglobulinemia and elevated acute phase reactants in hidradenitis suppurativa

Hoffman LK, et al. - This research examined the humoral immune system in hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Elevations were brought to light, of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-6, and IgE in the sera of patients with advanced HS. The results disclosed markedly raised levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), across all three Hurley stages.
