Platelet rich plasma for photodamaged skin: A pilot study

Lee ZH, et al. - Researchers evaluated the treatment effectiveness and patient satisfaction with a single platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment prepared with a simplified preparation and application technique. They injected 4 millilitre of PRP into 6 standardized points on each side of the face. Modest benefit was offered by a simple method of PRP preparation in treating the effects of skin aging and photodamage. Tenderness, facial tightness, and swelling were the most frequently reported adverse effects.
