Plasma connective tissue growth factor (CTGF/CCN2) levels predict myocardial infarction in the veterans affairs diabetes trial (VADT) cohort

Hunt KJ, et al. - The experts embraced this study to determine the role of connective tissue growth factor also known as CCN2 (CTGF/CCN2) as a predictor of cardiovascular events in type 2 diabetes in the Veterans Affairs Diabetes Trial (VADT) cohort. Among patients with type 2 diabetes, high levels of CTGF/CCN2 was noted to predict future myocardial infarction and cardiovascular death.
