Persistently high psychological well-being predicts better HDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels: Findings from the midlife in the U.S. (MIDUS) longitudinal study
Lipids in Health and Disease Jan 17, 2018
Radler BT, et al. - During this study, experts inspected if the longitudinal profiles of psychological well-being over 9–10 years served as predictors of blood lipid profiles. A high level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol and low triglycerides were speculated via persistently high levels of psychological well-being measures over 9-10 years. These results affirmed that positive psychological factors were associated with better lipoprotein profiles. It was deduced that a better blood lipid profile could serve as a key in mediating how psychological well-being positively affected the health and length of life, especially higher high-density lipid cholesterol (HDL-C).
